How We Got Started
Originally established in 1980 by Cindy Morey, Little Folks started as an in-home daycare to provide quality, affordable childcare to the Crystal community. As word spread and Little Folks grew in popularity, our program expanded to our larger, current facility and grew our team of caring teachers.
Steph Hanna, the current owner and director, took over when Cindy retired in 2019. Steph spent many years at Little Folks as a parent and a staff member before ownership.
Today, Little Folks remains a licensed childcare center offering high-quality care for children from six weeks to seven years.

Little Folks is proud to offer four classrooms to fit your family’s needs:
- Infants ($395/week)
- Toddlers ($325/week)
- Preschool/Pre-K ($305/week)
- School Age ($275/week)
Our staff members are CPR/First Aid certified, MN background-checked, and required to complete annual continuing education. We serve all children breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack that is nutritious and balanced with the help of Premier Kitchens.
We are able to accept the County Child Care Assistance Program, and Brightwheel is used to communicate and share daily updates with parents and billing.
